Biography

Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Singh is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Manipur. He received his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with University GoldMedal in academics from Giani Zail Singh PTU Campus (Formerly Govt Engg College Bathinda ) Bathinda Punjab in 2015, and selected by MHRD for NIT-IIT  Trainee Teacher Scheme in 2016. He did Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization: Fluids and Thermal Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2018 and subsequently did  his  Ph.D. from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2023. During his doctoral studies, Dr. Singh studied the film cooling for aeroengine afterburner applications. The work was focused developing a suitable injection configurations for afterner corrugated liner. 

Teaching Interests

Heat and Mass Transfer, Turbomachines, Convective Heat Transfer, Experimental Thermal Fluids, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
